Redundancy

ASD utilizes multiple, geographically diverse, multi-server redundancy monitoring centers. These centers are connected with the latest communications technology and can allow for load balancing by redistributing operator resources so calls make it through, even during spikes in alarm activity.

Disaster Recovery

It's crucial for facilities to run 24/7, especially in the face of a storm, emergency, or outage. With a disaster recovery plan, center stations are backed up by generators and uninterruptable power supplies. If necessary, alarm monitoring supervisors can route alarm signals to our other central stations.

Fire System Monitoring

For fire system monitoring, NFPA 72 guidelines are followed. Trained UL-certified operators comply with best practices and local AHJ policies.

Is there an average response time for an alert to be dispatched?

When an emergency dispatch is required, authorities are typically contacted within a few minutes of the incident occurring. First, an alarm is triggered, and the system sends an alert to our agents at one of our UL-listed central stations. Once an agent receives the alert, they dispatch and notify the proper parties based on the outlined policies and procedures. The average response time is just a few minutes from when the incident occurs.
